No matter how much
you love someone
or better yet and more commonly
no matter how well
you pretend to reciprocate
your nose is due to grow
if you can't admit that you enjoy
the temporary ability
to sleep diagonally
when they leave for work or school
or wherever it is that they go
when you're not inside them
or they're not inside you
though you both always are
if you're lucky.
