When the honeybees die off
the plants will find a way
to pollenate themselves.
This summer's bat shortage
hasn't left me with any more
mosquito bites than usual.
But believe me when I tell you
that if the acid rain and bug repellant
hadn't hushed the bullfrog chorus
not even my best friend
could've dragged me from that lake.
